“The Great Western Fly Fishers Club” originated in 1979 as “The Great Western Flyfisherman Club” This was before many females had gotten involved in fly fishing. Hence the name change to Fly Fishers .
GWFF Club was started by a group of students and teachers from Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah. Some of the original members are still active.
The purpose of our club is to teach and encourage catch and release fly fishing, beginner, intermediate or advanced fly tying, and to serve as a forum for sharing new and classic methods and ideas.
We are a group that enjoys the sport and the getting together to share our tales of our piscatorial battles.
The Club meets each Thursday Night from 7 – 8:30 PM in the basement at the Bountiful Library from Jan till May of each year. The address is 725 S Main Street Bountiful. The 2018 Club will start Jan 11th. For more information please email Dave Gibson at firstname.lastname@example.org
